Crunchy deli style pickles recipe?

Does anyone have a recipe for those crunchy deli style "salty" pickles that are served so often in New York deli's? They're obviously not a "hot pack" type of pickle; not dill; not even "vinegar tasting".................a lot of the original crunchiness and the cucumber taste has been retained. Thank you for your help!
