How to get into the cake and pastry industry?

I am currently decorating cakes for family, friends and neighbors. Mostly birthday cakes and an occasional small tier wedding cake. I would like to learn more about cake decorating and learn to make pastries and the such. There are no bakeries in the area in wich to get a job to learn and no schools either. Where can learn more so as to maybe someday open a cake, pastry and specialty dessert shoppe? Any and All advice or information is greatly appreciated.
