You bake it until it is done! That is the exact time to leave it. But to tell when its done, press your finger lightly in the center. If the cake barely springs back up and doesn't leave a big hole where you pressed it is done. This way you won't over-bake making the cake dry and tasteless. THEN, lay a kitchen towel on top and press it flat too. You need it to be flat when you turn it over. Always use a cake bottoms up so they will be level for setups.
