$300 would be junk for a machine. Not that they are so complex considering they only use light bulbs for heat and a fan to cool. Theres so little demand that we don't get the benefit of mass production. I have a small Hilliard, the cheapo model but it cost $1100. For small volume you're better off just hand tempering, we did it for yrs.
