Don't do it. Unless produced for consumption flowers are drowned in pesticide, this is a fragile cash crop that is protected with as much chemical as possible. When guests see crystalised flowers they will assume they are edible. You can't wash flowers. You can buy edible flowers or grow them, personally I wouldn't bother, we're supposed to be skilled enough to make what we need.
