$2 pp isn't outta line, it also depends on delivery, how far? If you're not too confident consider the ingredients will cost less than $50 so adding $20 for a plywood base you can actually sell it for $400 and do fine. I tend to pick and choose between cake customers, if they sound like a pain I say I'm booked, ditto for small/cheapo cakes.
