You sure that wasn't a recipe for glaze? Corn syrup is typically added to chocolate glaze for shine, but it's ususally water, choc & corn syrup. Veg. oil sounds pretty yucky, though! On the truffles, you can also use fruit purees for flavors- replace part of cream w/fruit puree to taste. Choc. cassis is especially good, as is choc passion fruit. Have fun!
