Time to replace a 20 yr old KA 5 qt tabletop mixer. Interested in hearing from owners of the DeLonghi to know what works, doesn't work about it. I would be using it in a commercial environment (I just need another small tabletop so I don't really want a 10 or 12 qt hobart). What I like about it is the capacity and power (vs the 6 qt 525 watt KA) and since it is the same price range, I would choose between this and the KA. Need to know whether people have had problems with it; etc. Thanks!

Jeanne: There are some opinions on www.eopinions.com for Delonghi Mixers that might give you some insight. |

Jeanne, Maria S (Creative Pastries) who posts on the Sugarcraft board and That Cake Board has/had one. I saw a post where she is selling it. She is replacing it with a Hobart. At any rate, she would be a good person to contact about getting info on the mixer. She told me her only complaint was that there was no handle on the bowl. Aside from that, she said it was superior to the K5 in terms of power and it actually reaches the bottom of the bowl. I have a commercial K5 (the NSF approved version), but I am saving up for a Hobart as well. |
